What wrong with Jongleur? What has Juniper so fluxed?

It happened on tblurt, and it was so stupid. And I'm left with one question: What the fucking hell?

It just so happens that Kupov, Goins, Daytripper and I share an appreciation for bawdy humor. And to another observer who walks in halfway into the conversation plenty might seem wrong.

We were talking about so many different things, randomly moving from one topic to the other. The conversation then came to a comparison of male and female anatomy - namely, penises and breasts.

It got to the point of us talking about Daytripper taking a picture of her breasts and posting it on her blog. I don't even remember who brought it up - I think it was Day - but whoever it was, the conversation was in the spirit of humor. At least it [i]was [/i]humorous until The Jongleur and Juniperflux joined in and started swinging their sabres at us from atop their high horses.

Yes, we [i]know [/i]bullying young girls into exposing herself on the internet is wrong. You don't need to tell us that. But it's a conversation between friends, and we were messing around. In fact, as I remember it, the conversation mostly involved Goins, Kupov and me messing around and being idiots amongst ourselves. At that time, I remember worrying perhaps we were leaving Day out of the conversation. But whatever the details, we were all joking and having fun, and to make that certain and unambiguous, I sent a tMail to Daytripper telling her not to do it.

Perhaps some will say, "Well, it's still improper to have such indecent and risque conversation with minors."

Well, fuck you. I didn't realize Kupov was 14 until after very long. And before that we were making stupid sexual jokes and messing with each other. When I found out he was only 14, the thought did occur to me that maybe I shouldn't speak so freely with him, but that would just be silly. It was fun messing around with him when I didn't know he was a minor, and it's still fun when I did. And guess what, I don't have any evil sexual intentions towards the guy.

And the same applies to Daytripper. When I found out she was 16 I was the one who first brought up the fact that she was "jail bait" and we probably shouldn't be talking about sex. But guess what? The bawdy humor we enjoy (e.g "chaka bow wow") involves sex. I don't intend to bed the girl, she's 16 for the love of god...
I've never had sex with a minor nor do I intend to. The youngest a girl with whom I've had sexual relations has been was 19 - and I was 14.

And I suppose you're going to tell me that there should be no sexual talk between us? Well sieg heil but nein mein feuhrer! The girl's just lost her virginity and she's curious. I've given her advice not to let guys pressure her into doing it if she doesn't feel obliged. I've even told her that was too young and should slow down - something that I thought was prudish. I will not stop talking to her about it if she asks. A young woman should gather as much information and learn as much as she can before she ventures any further into sex.

There's only one thing I can say: FUCK YOU. I FEEL NO GUILT BECAUSE THERE WAS NOTHING TO FEEL GUILTY FOR. YEARS OF CATHOLIC REPRESSION SCREWED ME UP, SO HELP ME GOD IF FRIENDLY BANTER HELPS A YOUNG LADY LEARN MORE ABOUT MEN AND WHAT UGLINESS THERE IS IN THE WORLD, I'M GONNA FUCKING DO IT.

POINT YOUR FINGER AT ME ALL YOU WANT; THERE'S THREE MORE OF YOUR FINGERS POINTING RIGHT BACK AT YOUR IDIOCY.

well...lol starting off well might have u thinkin i am going 2 flip out lol...anywho..nah how where u 2 know how old someone is...i mean ok so u could of asked there ages...but i dont know that might just be silly 2 say oh before i type 2 u i need info...i just think more parents should beaware of what there child is doin and who they r talkin with...but we tend 2 forget these children know more then we do if u really sit and talk with them...as for u talkin sexual its the internet and yes its wrong 2 talk with them in that mander...but like u said no one saw your email explaning 2 her 2 back off and do not do such things...eh its someone that got there panties in a bunch and is going after ya lol...oh hell with them really...oops i am sure they will come for me next...*hides*...anyways enjoy typin what u like that is why we have blogs

Some of the things we talk about:

1. Music: She loves classic rock, and she plays the guitar. Cool, I do too.

2. Work: She has worked in a nursing home and got fired for some stupid reason. She's working somewhere else now, but she wants to work in a nursing home again.

3. Sex: She's had sex and feels like having more. She asks questions about sexuality and I don't think anybody can tell her to abstain if she wants to do it.

So instead of shying away, shouldn't someone tell her what to do if you're going to do it anyway?

Here's the gist of what I've told her:
Be picky don't be promiscuous. Use a condom. Stick to one partner for as long as you can stand him, and make sure he's clean.

Other than that, there's a lot of joking around. For instance, me and another tblogger were telling her she should play a prank on her guy friend and tell him she was pregnant.

I am sixteen years old. I, believe it or not, am fully capable of making decisions without first consulting my parents. How dare any of you stab at me like that? Refer to me like I’m a tool taking orders from men with no mind to object?

It's none of your business, really. I understand that hey - you're allowed to have an opinion on the subject... but when you or other adults start speaking FOR me... that's beyond an opinion. Next time the silly thought of me being too immature to handle myself crosses your mind - please fuck yourself.

If I am inclined to show Dahar my boobs, I will do just that. They're mine. Not yours. Not my parents. Mine.

It's just stupid to bring in the legal analysis of the situation. I highly doubt any of the people who've said "it's illegal" or "it's wrong" have ANY qualifications WHATSOEVER to take any action on me, Goins, or Dahar.

Actually, you were being idiots in front of an entire community of people.

This community seems to largely consist of minors. Just because there were other topics at hand, and somewhere (no matter how buried) there were good intentions within part of this conversation, that doesn't remove the element that is not only morally irresponsible toward the young woman, it also doesn't change the fact that having such conversations on tblurt is as inappropriate as it gets, regardless of the age of the participants.

Naturally, there will be plenty of young people on the verge of adulthood who will stand up and shout in their loudest voices that they are old enough to deal with such on their own (you still seem to be doing that, which probably puts you in your early twentites at the most). Bravo and good for them. The problem is that this is an open community. Their are kids here who are far below such an age and it's not that difficult to keep such in mind while conversing on a chat board that everyone can see.

Your good buddy, Goins has engaged in all kinds of activity on tblurt when he has thought no one was watching (or I hope that is the flimsy argument to which he clings) and it pretty much made me sick to my stomach, so forgive me for not having much interest in what he has had to say in all of this.

The fact is that all the information we are fed about others here is completely of their own making and none of it is substantiated. Profiles can contain whatever we wish. Blogs consist of what we want them to and there is no absolute measure of fact from fiction. Because there is also no such thing as an adult section in this community, we are open season here, all the time. Whomever we are speaking to could be anyone and could be any age, no matter how well you *think* you know them. Even the smartest and most experienced adults can be deceived on line and you are no exception, though we all like to think we are.

Would you walk into an after-school program and engage in 'harmless' talk about male and female boby parts - even amongst 'just the three of you' in earshot of kids? Would you engage in conversation with a stranger on the street about having sex as a teenager?

It amazes me how people conduct themselves here without thought to how they conduct themselves in their physical world.

Feel free to whip out the age old 'it's not my problem' argument. And bring on your talk of 'freedom to' etc. Frankly, our communities both on and off line are falling apart because we have this separatist attitude and have no concept of how important it is that we take care of each other in an effort to survive.

'It's not my problem.'

'It's the parents' responsibility.'

'I can say what I want.'

Indeed. And you can do your part to expose a few faceless people to the kinds of things that make us wonder what went wrong.
